End of Year Concert

Important information for every student of the Taupo School of Music.

It is imperative that you mark this date in your diary. All students are expected to perform at the concert, including the Keynotes Choir and Taupō Youth Wind Band. If you are not going to be attending, please let the Principal and tutor know. Most students will be working on combined group items – therefore lesson times may be changed for Tues 31st and 7th Nov to allow students in different classes to practice together. Tutors will hand out notes with more information regarding times/rooms for affected students.

When: Tuesday 14th November (This takes place instead of your usual lessons that day)
Where: Great Lake Centre
Time: 5:00 – 7:00pm
Dress: Tidy
Audience Cost: Gold Coin Donation

*On arrival at the GLC – students should go around to the back (Not through the side stage please)
*Find the room with your student’s instrument and tutor name on it.
*Report to the tutor.
*Students may then go back into the theatre to watch other performances. Their tutor will tell them what time they have to come back to the ‘ready’ rooms.
*After the performance, students may go back to the audience to enjoy the rest of the concert.

Theatre etiquette - Please remember proper etiquette for our concert. No one is to move around or leave or enter the theatre during performances. The time to move is during the applause. This applies to adults as well as students!
